Privacy Policy

At SlideScript, we respect your privacy. We collect only the information we need to provide our service, we do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how long we keep it.

Information we collect

  • Your slides. When you upload a presentation, its content is used solely for the purpose of generating your script. Files uploaded on our website are not stored on our servers once your script has been generated. Files uploaded through an AI assistant connected to SlideScript are retained only for as long as necessary to generate your script and are deleted automatically within two days.

    In the event that an error occurs during the generation of your script, we may retain a copy of the affected slides for a limited period solely for the purpose of diagnosing and resolving the issue. Such copies are deleted automatically within 90 days.

  • Your scripts. If you save a script, its content is stored and linked to your account so that you can return to it. Scripts created through a connected AI assistant are stored in the same way, together with images of their slides.

  • Account information. If you sign in with Google, we receive and store your name, email address and profile photo in order to operate your account.

  • Your IP address. We use your IP address to apply the daily limit on free scripts and to protect our service from misuse.

  • Usage information. We record how many scripts you generate, the credits you use, and the number of refinements and coaching messages you request, in order to apply the limits of your plan.

  • Technical records. Each time a script is generated, we keep a technical record of the request, which may include your IP address, your email address and the generated script, so that we can investigate problems and improve reliability. These records are retained for 30 days and then deleted automatically.

  • Issue reports and messages. If a generation fails, we automatically record technical details, such as your plan, the number of slides and the error that occurred. If you choose to describe a problem, or contact us through our website, we keep what you send us so that we can respond.

  • Payments. We keep a record of each purchase for accounting and support purposes, and we send a receipt to your email address after each purchase.

How your content is processed

To write your script, and to respond to your requests to refine a slide or to receive coaching, your slides and scripts are sent to third-party AI service providers that process them on our behalf. SlideScript does not use your content to train AI models.

Automated review. After a script has been generated, we may send a short extract of it to an AI service provider for an automated review. This review is carried out without your email address, and solely for the purpose of understanding how SlideScript is used (for example, the general subject of a presentation and the type of presenter) and of identifying content that may contain confidential or market-sensitive information, so that we can detect possible misuse of our service. The review does not attempt to determine personal characteristics such as gender. Within our own systems, the results are linked to your account or, if you are not signed in, to your IP address.

We may retain a copy of the reviewed script for up to 90 days for the purpose of this review, after which it is deleted automatically. The descriptive results of the review are retained for up to 12 months and are then deleted in full.

Your content

We recommend that you do not upload presentations containing confidential, commercially sensitive or personal information that you are not authorised to share. Where possible, please remove or anonymise such information before uploading.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • generate your scripts and respond to your requests;
  • apply the limits of your plan and of our free service;
  • manage your saved scripts, credits and purchases;
  • send you a receipt after each purchase;
  • diagnose technical problems and improve the reliability of our service;
  • understand how SlideScript is used and protect it against misuse.

We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

We use trusted third-party service providers for hosting, data storage, email delivery and payment processing. These providers process information on our behalf and solely for the purpose of providing our service.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card details. Stripe handles your payment information in accordance with its own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy.

If you pay with cryptocurrency, the transaction is recorded on a public blockchain, which we cannot alter or delete. We keep the transaction reference, together with the amount, the token used and the date of payment, for accounting and support purposes. The wallet address from which you paid can be identified from this reference on the public blockchain.

International processing

Your information may be processed and stored in countries outside Malaysia, including the United States and Singapore.

Age

SlideScript is intended for users aged 18 and over, in line with our Terms of Service.

Connected AI assistants

If you connect an AI assistant to your SlideScript account, we keep a record of that connection so that the assistant can act on your behalf. You may disconnect an assistant at any time from your account settings, after which it can no longer access your account.

Cookies and similar technologies

Essential storage. We use a small number of cookies and browser storage that are necessary for SlideScript to work, including keeping you signed in, saving your work in progress during a session, and remembering your cookie choice.

Visitor identifier (with your consent). With your permission, we store a random identifier in your browser so that our own statistics can distinguish new visits from returning ones. This identifier is not shared with anyone and is not used for advertising. If you decline, or do not make a choice, no identifier is stored; we will still record that a page was visited, without associating the visit with your browser.

Anonymous statistics. We also receive anonymous, aggregated statistics about page visits from our hosting provider. These statistics are collected without third-party cookies and cannot be used to identify you.

You may change your choice at any time by selecting "Change cookie preferences" below.

How long we keep your information

  • Uploaded files — website uploads are not stored once your script has been generated; files uploaded through a connected AI assistant are deleted automatically within two days.

  • Copies of slides kept after an error — deleted automatically within 90 days.

  • Saved scripts — available for 7 days on the free plan, and for 30, 90 or 180 days on paid plans. Once a script has expired, it is permanently erased from our systems 30 days later. If you delete a script, it is removed from your account immediately and permanently erased from our systems after 30 days.

  • Technical records of each generation — 30 days.

  • Copies of scripts kept for automated review — up to 90 days.

  • Results of automated review — up to 12 months.

  • Records of daily free-script usage — 30 days.

  • Issue reports, messages you send us, records of failed uploads and visit statistics — up to 12 months, after which they are deleted.

  • Usage and cost records, and script ratings — up to 12 months in a form linked to you; after that, your email address, IP address and any written comment are removed, and only anonymous totals are kept.

  • Account information and purchase records — for as long as your account remains active, and thereafter as required for accounting and legal purposes.

Your choices and rights

You may delete any saved script at any time from your account. If you would like your account and the information associated with it to be deleted, please contact us at admin@slidescript.live, and we will delete your account and associated data within 30 days of your request.
