Privacy Policy

SlideScript is built on a simple principle: your data is yours. We collect only what we need to run the service. We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising.

What we collect

We collect the minimum data needed to provide SlideScript.

  • Uploaded slides — Your PDF files are processed to generate your script. They are not stored permanently after processing.

  • IP address — Used for free tier rate limiting. We track how many scripts a free user generates per day by IP address.

  • Google account info — If you sign in with Google, we store your name, email, and profile photo to power your account.

  • Usage data — We track script count, credit usage, and Scout message count to enforce tier limits.

  • Saved scripts — If you save a script, the script content is stored in our database and linked to your account. It is deleted when it expires or when you delete it.

  • Issue reports — If a generation fails, we automatically capture technical details to help us diagnose the problem. This includes your tier, slide count, duration, and error details — but not your slide content.

AI providers we use

SlideScript uses different AI models depending on your plan. Your slides and script content are sent to these providers for processing.

Paid users — Anthropic (Claude Sonnet 4.6)

Your slides are sent to Anthropic's API as PDF or image data. Anthropic processes your content to generate your script. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models by default. See anthropic.com/privacy.

Free users — third-party AI provider

Free tier scripts are generated using a standard AI model via a third-party API provider. Your slide images are sent to this provider for processing and are not stored after the request completes.

We do not send your slide content to any AI provider for the purpose of training or profiling. Content is sent solely to generate your script.

How we use your data

We use your data to:

  • ✓Generate your presentation script
  • ✓Enforce free tier daily limits
  • ✓Manage your saved scripts and credit balance
  • ✓Send you a payment receipt after purchase
  • ✓Diagnose technical failures and improve reliability

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe processes all payment data securely under their own privacy and compliance standards. See stripe.com/privacy.

Cookies and browser storage

We use browser storage to make SlideScript work. This includes:

  • ✓Session cookies for Google Sign-In
  • ✓localStorage for saving your draft scripts, slide images, and refine history during your session
  • ✓sessionStorage for passing slide data between pages during generation

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

How long we keep your data

  • ✓Uploaded PDF files — deleted after processing, not stored
  • ✓Saved scripts — kept until expiry (7 days for free, 30–180 days for paid) or until you delete them
  • ✓Account data — kept while your account is active
  • ✓Purchase records — kept for accounting and support purposes

Your rights

You can delete your saved scripts at any time from your account. If you want your account and all associated data removed, contact us at the email below and we will delete it within 7 days.
